What is the Pedal Embraza?
Embraza is a weekly group ride organized by the Soma Sports community. The name comes from the vibe the group brings to the streets: Monday is the day to "embrazar", with plenty of energy, laughs and well-ridden kilometers. It's a get-together for anyone who wants to break the routine, meet other riders and stay consistent with the sport.
The goal, in the team's own words, is "to make a ride for everyone, safe and fun, to start Monday on the right foot". That's why the idea is to ride together, and newcomers find company to build confidence.
How it all started
The first ride took place in October 2025, in partnership with Embraza Burguer: a ride with the crew, just the right distance and, at the end, a burger to wrap up the night. From then on the ride happened every Monday, and the videos of each edition on Soma's Instagram show the group getting bigger and bigger. You can see some of these moments on the Soma in Action page.
Who can join the Monday ride in Carpina?
Anyone who can ride safely in traffic can join. Embraza is not a race or a closed training session: it's a group ride designed to welcome beginners as well as people who have been riding for years.
- Beginners: it's a great way to build the habit of riding with company and learn from more experienced riders.
- Experienced riders: Embraza is an easygoing way to keep riding regularly and meet the crew at the start of the week.

What to bring to the Pedal Embraza
Since it's a street ride, safety comes first. Before leaving home, go through a simple checklist, the same one Soma often shares on Instagram before any ride:
- A tuned-up bike: firm brakes, properly inflated tires, a lubricated chain and gears shifting smoothly.
- Helmet: essential for riding safely in a group, well fitted and not wobbling.
- Lights: a front light and a rear LED blinker help you see and, above all, be seen.
- Water: bring a bottle, even on shorter routes.
- Essentials: ID, phone and the basics for the unexpected, such as a spare tube and a pump.

More than a ride: the Embraza community
Embraza has also become a space for community initiatives. At the end of 2025, the group ran a Christmas charity drive with Soma Sports and Embraza Burguer: anyone who dropped off toys at the store, preferably new ones, helped brighten Christmas for children, and the first 50 members of the WhatsApp group who donated received a voucher for the official Pedal Embraza jersey.
